March 13th, 2016 - This year at Cycle for Survival, we were able to donate $25,750 to Doctor Ratna Behal to assist with her ongoing research. She is a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. her research involves primary pediatric malignant brain tumors that are commonly refractory to conventional therapy. Her overall goal is to improve the quality of life of pediatric patients.
June 2015 - During Little Eric's journey, our family realized how quickly unexpected financial expenses add up during cancer treatments. One of LEF's goals is to help ease these financial burdens for families, so that they may instead focus on supporting their child. This year, we were able to donate $1,000 to a local teenager and her family. This donaion was used to help defray her medical and travel costs while undergoing her cancer treatments.
March 8th, 2015 - Through our fundraising efforts since we began our foundation, we were able to donate over $18,000 for our first major donation. This year we chose Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where 100% of our donation will be going toward cancer research. Eric was treated at this hospital and we hold the staff and their efforts very close to our hearts.
